Help Winston Heal: Supporting Our Dog's Recovery

Dear Friends, Family, and Animal Lovers,

On November 29th, 2023, our dog, Winston, fell victim to an unexpected and unprovoked attack by a neighbor's dog. The incident left Winston with severe injuries, necessitating immediate surgery.

It happened while my wife, Sarah, was taking him on his nightly walk around our neighborhood. She was almost home when the neighbor and their dog were standing in front of the steps to our apartment unit. As Sarah attempted to pass, the neighbor’s dog lunged at Winston; forcing my wife to pull them apart.

Winston was left with an internal tear in his stomach wall, resulting in damage to part of his intestine, which had to be partially removed. The medical team also stitched up external puncture wounds.

If you have an animal at home, then you understand that Winston is not just a pet to us; he's a part of our family. His unconditional love and loyalty have filled our lives with immeasurable happiness. His presence has brought us through some of our toughest times and has highlighted our happiest moments. His companionship means more to us than words can express.

Unfortunately, the costs of Winston's emergency surgery and medical treatments have amounted to $8,000. At this time, the other dog’s owner has not contacted us following the incident. Sadly, these expenses will put a significant financial strain on us.
