<div><strong>William Joos (42 years old) is one of those people who make the world brighter just by being in it.</strong> A gifted photographer and creative spirit, he once traveled the world for brands like Apple and J.Crew. He was always quick with a joke, a story, or a smile.

<div>William has always lived with underlying genetic health challenges, but in recent years, his condition has worsened dramatically.<strong> A complex mix of chronic illnesses</strong>, <strong>including EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome), ME/CFS (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome), MCAS (Mast Cell Activation Syndrome), and POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome)</strong>, <strong>has taken nearly everything from him: his career, his mobility, and much of his independence.</strong> Now mostly bedridden in a small apartment, William is navigating life with conditions that make even basic daily tasks overwhelming. His neurological sensitivity is so intense that even the smallest amount of light or sound causes discomfort, making phone calls, reading, movies, or music impossible. <strong>Despite it all, he continues to hold on to hope. Hope for better days, for moments of comfort, and for the chance to feel like himself again. </strong>He dreams of simple joys like spending time with friends, eating a safe and satisfying meal, or leaving the house in a wheelchair that fits his 6’6” frame.
