Help William Get IVIG Treatment

I’m Courtney. I am fundraising on behalf of my father, William. In July 2021 my 57 year old dad was rushed to the emergency room due to uncontrollable raised heart rate and blood pressure. While we were concerned with a heart attack or pulmonary embolism, little did we know it was just the beginning of Dad’s health complications. Over the next 7 months, Dad would be in the hospital, emergency rooms, and immediate care centers countless times, including Cleveland Clinic. It was at Cleveland Clinic my father was diagnosed with dysautonomia. However, this diagnosis came with an uncertain treatment plan and more questions than answers. If you are like me, you may have never heard of dysautonomia…it is a nervous system disorder. It is very rare for a 57 year old man to develop dysautonomia, but here we are. There are no answers as to why he developed this disorder. Was it a strange fluke in his genes even though there is no family history? Effects of this disorder that my Dad has experienced include Postural Tachycardia, Gastroparesis, debilitating migraines, small fiber neuropathy, blurred vision, anxiety, depression, inability to stand upright for longer than to walk to the bed or bathroom…the list can go on. He has gone from a healthy 57 year old who made it a point to stay physically and mentally active to someone who spends most of their day in bed or in a chair. My father has lost 50 pounds due to the gastroparesis and continues to decline. He has had two surgeries and stem cell treatment and has made no improvement. His last option is IVIG treatment. Of course, health insurance continues to decline responsibility to support the treatment, which is why we are asking for help. Any help you can provide we would be forever grateful.
