The fire ripping through Bargo and surrounding towns has decimated the Australian Wildlife Sanctuary (Wirrimbirra) and the Bargo Dingo Sanctuary. The Sanctuary was home to countless Australian flora and fauna species.

The heritage listed sanctuary has suffered significant damage and continues to burn today. Multiple historically significant buildings have been destroyed.

All captive animals on the property are confirmed safe and are being cared for in private residences.

Any donations towards rebuilding and rejuvenating this site would be greatly appreciated, we need support to help us:

* Clean up
* Replace lost plants, gardens and habitat areas
* Rebuilding infrastructure
* Replacing equipment

We want to thank the brave volunteers who rushed as many animals as they could to safety and the RFS for their heroic efforts.

Our thoughts are with the families of thebrave people who lost their lives and suffered injuries fighting these horrific fires.
