Wildlife Relief amid Crisis

Cheetah's Rock, an educational wildlife rescue and conservation centre, situated on Zanzibar/Tanzania, has been taking care of rescued and highly endangered wildlife since 2013.
Until now we have received both love and support from travellers internationally but due to the cease of air traffic, we are now deprived of entrance fees. These fees are used to feed the rescued wild animals under our care and maintain the project. Without them we cannot function.
The last full tour was on the 8th of March.
We were prepared for problems: We have water and electrical supply, we have generators and a freezer container. We managed to overcome the Thomas Cook bankruptcy without asking for external support.
We had all infrastructure and provisions prepared, but the effects of COVID19 crisis will be too large, too long-lasting and too unpredictable for us to overcome without your loving support.
While there are government aid programs available in industrialised countries, to bridge the crisis financially, there are no such programs in developing countries.
For those of you who would like to contribute, the funds will help with food (400kg of meat per week is needed just for the predators; and there are herbivores who are hungry too), veterinary costs, supplements, anti-poaching soldiers, maintenance of enclosures and more.
As we are concerned about the stability of the supply chain, we would like to build up reserves of our inventory, to avoid running out of food for the animals. In order to maintain our high standards of animal care, hygiene and safety, we still need our committed employees here, just as they need their regular, uncut income. All helping hands are required, especially now in the rainy season.

We work tirelessly around the clock with a highly experienced, qualified and dedicated team to provide the animals with the life, health, freedom & happiness they deserve and the possibility of a perspective release into the wild.
