<div>On the morning of August 23rd, 2025, our lives were turned upside down.

<div>At 7:14 AM in Wichita, KS, a drunk driver — with no license or insurance — lost control, slammed into a tree, and then crashed directly into the side of our home and two parked cars. My husband just got off of a 12 hour shift and was about to fall asleep when we heard a huge crash and our home shook.

<div>Here’s what we’re now facing:

<div>Both of our cars were totaled.
</div>

</div>
<div>Our iron fence was destroyed in multiple places.
</div>

</div>
<div>Part of our front brick of our home is damaged and needs to be replaced.
</div>

</div>
<div>Our concrete stair was badly scratched and will have to be redone.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The driver had no insurance or license, and police also found a crack pipe in the vehicle.
</div>

</div>
<div>His friends arrived on scene and told us they knew he was wasted and let him drive anyway.

<div>We’ve filed three insurance claims (two for the cars, one for the house), but we're now on the hook for:

<div>Remaining payments on my husband’s car loan (he still owes on his and doesn’t have gap insurance)

<div>Missing work for 2 days due to no way to get there

<div>Insurance on rental car, we finally got one car 08/27/2025 due to insurance but they do not cover insurance on the rental..

<div>And if that wasn’t enough… we're expecting a baby in less than 3 weeks.
