<div>Hello my name is Whitney and in April of 2025 I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer or Invasive Ductal Carcinoma.

<div>I started to feel the lump around August of 2024. At that time I didn't have any assumptions that it was cancer. I thought it was a fibroid that I could eventually get it removed. So I went on with my travels to South Korea to bike a 400 mile trail through the country. Now I know the symptoms I was having but at the time I just thought the trip was extra difficult nevertheless I finished what I went there to do while having cancer.

<div>It wasn't until February 2025 that I started to feel excruciating pain. The lump started growing rapidly between then and April. It also took while to get diagnosed. I don't usually get sick so I didn't have insurance and because of my age booking an appointment for a mammography felt impossible. I am grateful for the amazing people who have been placed along my journey. Helping me receive the care and the resources I needed to get started with my treatments.

<div>I'm creating this GoFundMe to help me through the remainder of my cancer journey. I was working at the beginning of the year but I had to stop because of pain and the size of the mass. I'm currently undergoing Chemo, then there will be surgery and then radiation. One step at a time towards being cancer free.
