Help Wendy Kick Cancer In the Teeth

Wendy and her husband Chuck  live in Calgary , Alberta. They are extremely active, fun loving people who enjoy riding bikes & skiing.

Earlier this year, Wendy noticed a bump behind her two front teeth that would change her life forever.

Her dentist looked at it  and recommended that Wendy have it looked at by an oral surgeon asap.  The oral surgeon removed the bump and much to her surprise this came back as squamous cell carcinoma.  She was then sent to see a Head and Neck surgeon at the Tom Baker Hospital where a second surgery was booked.  In the meantime, another bump appeared that was biopsied and came back as squamous cell as well. 

 In a short time she has had three biopsies and two  Surgeries involving the removal of bone, teeth and tissue but the cancer is already growing back rapidly. 

 It was recommended that she go to Dana-Farber in Boston, Massachusetts as they are world renowned for treating this aggressive form of Cancer and they have can provide an important radiation treatment that is not available in Canada.

 The clinic in Boston has dealt with this form of cancer numerous times with great success but the costs for the initial treatment, follow up care with radiation and chemo, flights, accommodations etc are extremely high and Chuck and Wendy need all the help they can get to cover these costs.

 Wendy has a tough battle ahead of her and with the help of her family and friends, she will get through it but the costs are astronomical and they need your help.

 All funds will go to Wendy’s medical expenses and will provide immeasurable help to Wendy and Chuck so they can focus on fighting the physical and emotional battle ahead of them.
