<div>Mijn Nederlandse Professor heeft me enkele weken geleden laten weten wil ik een kans maken op overleving, ik dan dringend immunotherapie nodig heb.

<div>Omdat ik een zeer zeldzame kankersoort heb (papil van Vater kanker, de aggresieve variant in een later stadium) wordt deze behandeling niet vergoed door het ziekenfonds, en kan ik ook niet meedoen met de studies die momenteel bij mijn academisch ziekenhuis lopen.

<div>Gelukkig wordt de immunotherapie die ik nodig heb aangeboden in Duitsland via mijn Professor. Deze vorm van immunotherapie is veelbelovend en de toekomst van kankerbehandelingen. Die toekomst is helaas voor mij te ver weg, ik heb het NU nodig en niet over een paar jaar...(als deze behandelingen wel standaard zorg zullen zijn, ook voor mijn type kanker).

<div>Daarom heb ik deze site gemaakt, zodat mensen om mij heen me kunnen helpen. Het geld dat gedoneerd wordt via deze pagina zal alleen gebruikt worden voor mijn kankerbehandeling. De eerste stap is €10.000,- euro voor analyse van mijn bloed en tumor. Dit zal drie weken duren. Daarna wordt de immunotherapie voor mij gemaakt, dit duurt 3 maanden (vandaar dat ik een beetje haast heb). De immunotherapie zal 1 jaar duren. Dit kost rond de €40.000,-. (Wil je meer weten over deze immunotherapie, ben je geïnteresseerd in studies over de effectiviteit ervan, of wil je graag weten wie mijn behandelend arts is, stuur me gerust een bericht!)

<div>Het mooie is, elke euro en share maakt hier het verschil! Als iedereen die dit bericht ziet op deze manier helpt, dan zijn we er al. <div><strong>Achtergrond</strong>

<div>Maar wie ben ik? Misschien ken je me (nog) niet en ben je per toeval op mijn site terecht gekomen. Ik hou van tekenen, gamen, Japan, schilderen, natuur, mijn drie katjes, en vooral van mijn zoon en man met wie ik al 13 jaar samen ben. Ik ben verliefd op het leven. Ik werk als docent/onderzoeker op een leuke HBO en had alles "goed voor elkaar".

<div>Maar op mijn 39ste (in januari dit jaar) werd ik geel als een kaaschipito en bleek een tumor mijn galweg te blokkeren. Ik had al veel langer klachten maar werd helaas niet doorgestuurd voor verder onderzoek omdat het "psychisch" zou zijn.

<div>Ik heb toen met spoed de whipple-operatie moeten ondergaan (galweg, galblaas, stuk darm en stuk alvleesklier werden verwijderd). Wat een bezoek van een uurtje aan de spoedeisende hulp leek, werd een opname van 6 weken inclusief verblijf op de intensive care. Wat heb ik mijn zoontje gemist in die periode zeg! Wat was ik blij toen ik weer thuis was.

<div><span style="letter-spacing:0.0085px;">Daarna kreeg ik het bericht dat ik een zeldzame kankersoort heb: papil van Vater kanker stadium 3 met uitzaaiingen in de lymfeklieren. Ook kreeg ik te horen dat er in Nederland geen controlescans of preventieve chemotherapie aangeboden worden. Het is zo zeldzaam dat het ziekenfonds het niet vergoed. (Wil je hier meer over weten stuur me gerust een bericht!). Naast voor mezelf de beste zorg proberen te regelen probeer ik ook meer aandacht en bewustzijn te creëeren voor zeldzame kankers en de zorg hiervoor. </span><br />

<div>Na second opinions in het buitenland en niet opgeven is het me gelukt om toch in Nederland chemotherapie en scans te krijgen. Ik ben mijn oncologe en Professor oneindig dankbaar hiervoor!

<div>En nu dus door naar de volgende stap in mijn reis: immunotherapie! Ongelooflijk dat ik ooit in een positie zou zitten dat ik mijn eigen pagina zou moeten maken om geld in te zamelen.

<div>Ps. Mocht er meer dan €50.000,-opgehaald worden (wat al een enorm wonder zou zijn en fantastisch!) dan wordt dat gebruikt voor het reizen naar Duitsland (12 uur met de auto heen en weer en verblijfskosten) geadviseerde aanvullende therapieën zoals supplementen en vitamine C infusen.

<div>My Dutch professor informed me a few weeks ago that if I want to have a chance of survival, I urgently need immunotherapy.

<div>Because I have a very rare type of cancer (ampulla of Vater cancer, the aggressive variant at a later stage), this treatment is not reimbursed by health insurance, nor can I participate in trials.
</div>

<div>Fortunately, the immunotherapy I need is offered through my professor at a company in Germany. This form of immunotherapy holds great promise and is the future of cancer treatments. But for me that takes too long, I need it NOW and not in a few years...

<div>That's why I created this site so that people around me can help me. The money donated through this page will only be used for my cancer treatment. The first step is €10,000,- for analysis of my blood and tumor. The second step is the making of the immunotherapy. This will take 3 months (that s why I am a bit in a rush ). The immunotherapy, will take 1 year. This will cost around €40,000,-. <div><strong>Background</strong>

<div>But who am I? Maybe you don't know me (yet) and you came across my site by accident. I love games, Japan, drawing, painting, nature, my three cats, and especially my son and husband who I have been with for 13 years. I am in love with life I have a great job as a teacher at an Applied University and my life was going smooth.

<div>But when I was 39 (in januari this year), I turned yellow as a banana and it turned out that a tumor was blocking my bile duct. I had had complaints for much longer but unfortunately was not sent for a medical checkup since my complaints were supposedly caused by "psychological" problems.
</div>

<div>I then urgently had to undergo whipple surgery (bile duct, gall bladder, piece of intestine and piece of pancreas were removed). What I thought would be a short hour visit to the emergency room turned into an admission of 6 weeks including IC. How I missed my son during that period!

<div>After the surgery I got the message that I have a rare cancer: ampulla of Vater cancer stage 3 with metastases in the lymph nodes. I was also told that no control scans or preventive chemotherapy was offered in the Netherlands. It is so rare that the health insurance fund does not reimburse it.

<div>After second opinions abroad and not giving up, I managed to get chemotherapy and scans in the Netherlands. I am infinitely grateful to my oncologist and professor for this!
</div>

<div>I am almost done with chemotherapy. And now on to the next step in my journey: immunotherapy! I can't believe I would ever be in a position to create my own page to raise money.

Should more than 50,000 be collected (which would already be a huge miracle and fantastic!) then that money will be used for traveling expenses for the immonotherapy in Germany (12 hours by car back and forth and accommodation costs) and advised additional therapies such as supplements and vitamin C infusions.
