Urgent Help Needed for Disabled Veteran

I'm reaching out in desperation, hoping to find support in this darkest of times. As a 50-year-old disabled veteran, I've faced unimaginable challenges, but nothing could have prepared me for the struggles I'm currently facing.

In 2021, my life took a drastic turn when I underwent a below-knee amputation due to severe diabetes. This life-altering event left me with a permanent disability, forcing me to rely on a fixed income. Despite my best efforts, I'm struggling to make ends meet.

The harsh reality is that my rent was increased last year, and I'm now two months behind on payments. The threat of eviction looms over me, and I'm desperately trying to avoid becoming homeless. To make matters worse, my electric bill is also overdue, and I'm barely scraping by with the $40 monthly food assistance I receive.

A misunderstanding with my rent two years ago resulted in a staggering debt of $3,500, which I'm still trying to pay off. The weight of this debt, combined with my existing expenses, is crushing me.
