It’s been far too long since we have updated this so I wanted to personally do it.
This is Vonni and I just wanted to tell everyone how much we appreciate your donations and your prayers. I often cry when I realize how blessed and loved I am. It’s amazing!
I don’t like asking for help but we need your help badly. Scott has worked only a handful of times since this all began in January. He’s my main caretaker and I’m unable to do almost anything except walk to the bathroom. The pain is excruciating.
I did have a couple of days that I was able to go down to the lake and lean across a picnic table and watch the boats and we went to Costco (my fave store) and Lowes and I was able to lean over a shopping cart for about 15 minutes. It was so great to get out after months of being in this house. I thought I was able to stop the fentanyl patch because I felt so much better but that was a HUGE mistake!
This is the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I just want to live like everyone else and watch Kaian, my 13 year old, grow up. He needs his mom for a long time to come. I want to see him, Bryce and Avery get married and have kids. I want to watch Katie and Holt raise their 6 kids and be able to love on them! I want to be a wife to my husband who is my best friend in the whole world! He needs me. Right now I just watch life go by out the window. I have a hospital bed in the living room by s big window. I try to walk out to get the mail sometimes and just being able to do that makes my day. Can you imagine “me” like this? I have good days and days that I cry a lot. I’ll admit it, I’m scared. Please pray for me daily. Pray for our family as this is so hard, y’all.
My awesome hubby, Scott, and precious youngest son, Kaian, do the everyday stuff and it’s a lot. They get my every little need at the drop of a hat plus the big stuff. I’m the mom who normally does it all around here. Bryce, my beautiful and adoring oldest daughter, comes a couple of times a week and helps with laundry, cleaning, going to the grocery store, and talks to me. Avery, my sweet youngest loving daughter is in Hawaii for discipleship training school and we talk and do Bible study on the phone and Holt, my oldest precious son has a wife and 6 kids and works 2 jobs and comes as often as he can and we talk often. Amy, my sweet sister came from Florence last week to help and we had so much fun! Zach, my sweet brother is here now from the Charlotte area for 5 days and is helping so much!!! It’s great having time with him. None of them will ever know how much they mean to me. They are all so wonderful and giving and I hope to repay them by doing anything I can in their time of need and I mean anything!!
Please y’all, you can call it begging if you want but we need help so badly to be able to keep this up and I’m fighting harder than you can imagine and I am winning this fight!!! What a testimony I have to share! God is so good and HE loves us so much! I’ve learned so much from HIM and I have a stronger bond with my entire family through all of this. I just ask if you can help at all, please do. I would do it for all of you and I will if you ever need me! Please pray daily. Have your churches pray for me. There’s power in prayer! I love y’all and appreciate anything!
