Help visiting terminally ill gpa

Hi friends, family, or strangers!
I'm not one to usually ask for help, but something came up and my family could really use some. 

Some of you may or may not know, but just over a year and a half ago, my mom's father, my Grandpa Jack was diagnosed with Stage 4 Prostate and Bone cancer. Since then, he has been fighting it with all he has got, but sometimes that isn't enough. Things were starting to look up for a bit, he was starting to feel better daily. But just a few days ago he was admitted to the hospital with extreme back pain. While there, the doctors broke the news that the cancer had since spread to his back. Because of this, he has been admitted to hospice.

So, this is where we need help. My family and I live in San Diego, California and my gradfather lives in New Jersey. Any help you guys could give to help contribute to our travel expenses would be amazing. We are kind of in a time crunch, being that we don't know how much  longer he can hang on.
