My name is Mel and I have started a fundraiser in support of Graeme, a pensioner whose darling beloved greyhound means almost more to him than life itself. They are the best of friends.
Viper is a gentle, loving greyhound. He’s not just a pet — he’s a best mate, a companion through the ups and downs of life, and the one who brings comfort and joy every single day.
Sadly, Viper has been diagnosed with laryngeal paralysis, a serious condition that makes it hard for him to breathe. Without treatment, even simple things like a gentle walk or lying down to rest can become dangerous, even deadly. The only way forward is a CT scan and surgery to give Viper the chance to live safely and comfortably again.
But Viper’s dad is a single retired pensioner, living only on his minimal pension. He adores Viper and would do anything for him, but the cost of these urgent procedures is more than he can manage alone. The cost is $1500 for the scan and $7000 for surgery.
That’s why i am reaching out for help. Every dollar donated will go directly towards Viper’s veterinary care at SASH Veterinary Specialists — giving this beautiful boy the chance of life - to breathe freely, enjoy his walks, and continue being the loyal best friend he has always been.
If you’re able to help, no matter how small the amount, it will make a huge difference. Together, we can give Viper the gift of more happy years by his dad’s side. They both need each other.
Thank you for your kindness in giving Viper the chance to breathe again and in doing so, keeping these two best mates together.
So grateful,
Mel
