Help Vietnam veteran keep his home
Donation protected
Dear supporters,
My name is Cindy Bernal and I’m reaching out to you today to share the story of my neighbor Jim Kessler, who is facing a difficult and heartbreaking situation. Jim is an 83-year-old decorated Vietnam Veteran and who was evicted from his mobile home in Pittsburg, California today by court order due to being behind on his space rent.
Jim has already endured more than his fair share of challenges. He suffers from multiple medical and cardiac conditions, which require ongoing care and financial support. To make matters worse, he lost his beloved wife Doreen of 50 years to septic shock last year.
For the past 34 years, Jim has called his mobile home his sanctuary, a place filled with memories and comfort. However, due to financial challenges, he now finds himself facing homelessness. He has been given 15 days to come up with a staggering $18,000 in arrears, which represents one year's worth of overdue rent.
We cannot let this brave veteran, face the prospect of homelessness. Let’s make a difference in his life and ensure that he can reclaim the security and stability of his home.
We ask for your support and generosity. Your donations, no matter how big or small, will go directly towards helping Jim cover his outstanding rent and prevent him from losing his home. Every dollar counts and will bring us one step closer to our goal.
Please extend your compassion and lend a helping hand to Jim Kessler. Together, we can help him to not have to face the devastating reality of homelessness.
If you are unable to contribute, please share this far and wide.
