This fund raising campaign is organized by Victoria's family and friends in an effort to help Victoria deal with quickly accumulating financial burden due to her mom's cancer diagnosis.
Just over a week ago life was proceeding normally with lots of plans. It all changed suddenly overnight when Tatiana Troeytskaya's employer called to let the family know that something was not right with Tatiana. That same night she was taken to a hospital where she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer after numerous scans and other tests. Finding yourself as a daughter in such a situation is emotionally as overwhelming and painful as it gets. But emotional challenges are not where it ends. Tatiana, as it turned out, having worked all her life in the US does not have sufficient insurance coverage to provide her with facility or home care. The hospital on daily basis is threatening to discharge her disregarding her perilous condition. At this point it is absolutely not safe for Tatiana to be home without supervision due to risks of severe seizure and various other complications that can incapacitate her.
Victoria is spending her days running around city agencies trying to find a solution to health coverage.
At this point Tatiana cannot stay at the hospital and needs to return home. The family is looking to hire a private home care professional at least for part time supervision. In addition medical expenses are expected to pile up. It is not clear if Medicaid or other insurance will be able to pick up the costs.
The family currently does not have immediate funds to pay for all this. Taking out loans is an option, but not a quick one. Even if you don't know Tatiana or Victoria personally but can relate to this situation then please help!
