Help Victor Battle Sickle Cell Anemia
Donation protected
We invite you to join us in a community effort to support Victor in his ongoing battle with sickle cell anemia.
Unlike challenges that arise from personal choices, some struggles, such as Victor's, are inherited and beyond his control. Victor, now 35, was born in Nigeria and moved to the United States at age 10. Throughout his life, he has faced frequent hospitalizations due to the debilitating effects of sickle cell anemia. This condition leads to excruciatingly painful crises that tend to worsen with age. In 2023, Victor endured one of the most severe crises of his life, resulting in over three months of hospitalization. This period of illness has restricted his ability to continue to work and has accumulated substantial medical expenses.
Despite these hardships, Victor remains a compassionate, insightful individual with a strong faith and a remarkable ability to uplift those around him. His presence brings comfort and positivity, reflecting his exceptional character. He never complains about the hand he has been dealt and many who know him don’t even know what he has been going through. Victor is out of the hospital now, but he is still diligently rehabbing to recoup as much bodily function as possible. He pursues full functionality despite the permanent damage doctors say he has from the clotting during this last crisis episode.
We kindly ask for your financial support to help alleviate Victor's burden. Most of the funds raised will be directed towards covering his medical expenses. However, a portion will be allocated to assist with essential living costs that have become challenging to meet, due to his inability to work. Your generosity will make a significant difference in Victor's life during this difficult time. If you aren’t able to contribute financially, no problem! We’d like to still ask to keep Victor in your prayers. Thank you and God bless you!
