Chris Miraba's Recovery

Chris Miraba, 17, is a Junior at Long Island City High School.  He is the starting Quarterback for the varsity football team, and is one of the top players in NYC.  Chris was brutally attacked, and ran over by a mini-van on Halloween Night.  Chris suffered many broken bones and other injuries that will prevent him from playing football ever again.  It will be a long and tough road ahead for Chris just to be able to walk again.  
Chris' mother, Maria, is a single mom and works very hard to take care of Chris and his 2 younger brothers.  Chris has an older brother in the millitary.  Chris also lost his father this past December to Cancer.   Chris is an amazing young man, with a ton of friends, and no enemies.  Laying in is hospital bed, the only thing Chris was worried about is his mom, his family, and his friends. 
My name is Joe Houghton, and I’m Chris’ Varsity Football Coach.  All the money raised will be used to help Chris and his family through physical therapy, rehab, and time his mom missed from work to be in the hospital with him.  All funds donated will be given to Chris’ family by me directly.
