*Let me preface this by saying I have no expectation to each an $1000 goal (thats just the default contribution amount of gofundme so why not?), but any contribution would help me out!*
For my birthday this year in lieu of gifts I would like everyone's support in making my exit at SUNY Cobleskill a blaze of glory! Unfortunately being a Graphic Design Senior is very expensive, and tutoring once a week hardly gives me enough money to cover my tuition payments let alone any extra expenses; I've also tried getting another job in the area but most places won't hire me because they don't think I'll be in the area for very long because I plan on graduating in May. So let me breakdown what this money would go towards:
For starters I need supplies and a $20 entrance fee to attend the AIGA Portfolio Review , where my work will be rated and judged by other professors and designers from different places, so a good impression is critical. Materials I'd need for this include a portfolio book (roughly $20) and professionally printed business cards (roughly $20).
The second event I'm fundraising for is the Senior Showcase, an on-campus event where every student develops a project and a brand. My project is an eco friendly makeup brand called Öko, german for "eco."
costs included with this are:
seed-embedded paper for packaging design ($30),
Empty cosmetic tins ($11),
Empty Magnetic eyeshadow pallets (roughly $19),
Makeup brushes ($9),
Label/Sticker Paper ($20).
Since most of the stuff I need is on amazon heres the list of stuff I'd use the money for if you'd rather donate by purchasing an item off of it.
And finally, since I'm not aiming to actually reach $1000, if that DOES happen by some miracle I'd be putting any excess money into professionally printed "Kitty Playtime" cards to send back to donors as thank-you's.
