Help Vicki after home fire

On Thursday August 9th My sister Vicki Johnson lost her apartment with all of her and her daughter Fiametta’s belongings, as well as her beloved cat Gonzo in a fire. Thankfully, she was away from her apartment at the time and is safe. 
Vicki had plans to travel to Michigan the next day to pick up her daughter Fia, after spending the summer with her dad. Due to this unforseen event,  Vicki and Fia will begin rebuilding their lives in Michigan as financial circumstances prevent her from staying in Utah. Vicki and Fia are currently staying with our mother, but resources are limited. Immediate family has come together and provided school supplies and some basic clothing for Fia and Vicki, beyond that we are asking for donations such as cash, gift cards, and toiletries. Monetary donations will help with the basic essentials, groceries, replenishing medication and other pain management tools lost in the fire, as well as bedroom furniture to accommodate comfortable long term living arrangements, bills, gas, transportation and possibly legal arrangements.

UPDATE: now that the chaos has settled and donations are coming through we have a more clear vision of the outstanding needs at this point. We have decided to adjust our initial goal of $5,000.00 to $2,000.00. Our new goal will address her most pressing needs, which include transporting her car from Utah to Michigan; new living expenses; and a legal retainer fee.
