Help Veteran Awaiting Benefits

Raising funds for immediate family  member, elderly veteran who is awaiting assistance from veterans affairs. While this person wishes to remain private, I would like to stress this is an emergency for our family. It's too cold for anyone to sleep outside right now and shelter, clothing, and medical care are needed immediately. Please help with anything you can give as we take steps to get the person we love taken care of. This is an opportunity to thank a veteran for their service and their sacrifice for our country. Especially during the holidays and the ongoing pandemic. Thank you for this blessing and we are forever grateful for every single dollar that comes our way.

Update: Accommodations for the most inexpensive hotel have been about $1400 a month, which doesn't include food, clothing, or needed medical care. I'm calling churches and shelters in the area, but have been turned away because space is limited due to the pandemic. Veterans affairs have nothing for us.
