<div>On December 16th, my parents (Veronica and Oscar) tragically lost their home of 20+ years in an accidental fire. Like many folks who experience a loss of this magnitude, we are thankful everyone is OK, but are mourning the loss of a lifetime of aquired valuables, memorable moments, and hard work.

<div>At the time of the fire my parents were lending a hand to another person in need, allowing him to stay in a spare bedroom. There's a total of 3 people directly impacted.

<div>My mom bought that house all on her own in 2003. Worked extra hours, side gigs, and off jobs to secure our families' future. She married Oscar in 2013 and through the years they managed to turn the house into their dream home. They owned their home and knew they'd spent two decades investing into a future where their living situation wouldn't be a cause for financial hardship. That stability is their biggest loss.

<div>The goal of this fundraiser is to help them get a start on rebuilding their house. All funds raised here will go towards helping them reconstruct and return home.

Como muchas personas que sufren una pérdida de esta magnitud, estamos agradecidos de que todos estén bien, pero lamentamos la pérdida de objetos de valor adquiridos, momentos memorables y trabajo duro de toda una vida.

<div>En el momento del incendio, mis padres estaban echando una mano a otra persona necesitada, permitiéndole quedarse en una habitación libre. Desafortunadamente, habían cometido el error que muchos cometen y no tenían seguro para propietarios de viviendas. Hay un total de 3 personas directamente afectadas.

<div>Mi mamá compró esa casa ella sola en 2003. Trabajó horas extra, trabajos paralelos y trabajos libres para asegurar el futuro de nuestras familias. Se casó con Oscar en 2013 y a través de los años lograron convertir la casa en la casa de sus sueños. Eran dueños de su casa y sabían que habían pasado dos décadas invirtiendo en un futuro en el que su situación de vida no fuera causa de dificultades financieras. Esa estabilidad es su mayor pérdida.
