<div>Hello, My name is Eduardo Flores and I am a beekeeper and owner of our small family-business, Ventura Bee Rescue. <strong>Ventura Bee Rescue is dedicated to promoting sustainable beekeeping practices throughout Ventura County. </strong>We work closely with local communities to provide live bee relocation, pollination and local raw honey. We have rescued and rehabilitated thousands of honeybee hives over the years, helping sustain our local bee population.

<div><strong>On November 6, 2024 the Mountain Fire swept through our community and completely destroyed our beloved bee yard in Somis, CA, killing over 150 thriving beehives.</strong> We are incredibly saddened by the tremendous loss of life. This apiary was not only our livelihood, but our labor of love and passion for conservation and an important part of our educational community outreach. We’re asking for your help to rebuild. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to recovery.

<div>Donations will help replace the beekeeping equipment needed to continue rescuing honey bees throughout Ventura County. Equipment will include bee boxes, frames, hive stands, an observation hive, and our security cameras that were burned in the wildfire. Our beautiful observation hive was particularly adored by children and adults of all ages when we conducted our educational events and classes at public events, museums, public libraries, and schools. It provided a fascinating and educational glimpse into the complex and intricate world of bees which helped to foster understanding, respect, and promote awareness and appreciation to these important insects and their role in our ecosystem.
