Help VCU Club Baseball Play This Year

To Whom May Concern,
My name is Erik Dorst and I am the President for the Club Baseball team here at Virginia Commonwealth University. The primary goals of our club are inclusion and furthering our baseball careers through a less stressful, competitive environment.
Our love for the game is unrelenting, and we take pride in being afforded this opportunity to still play the game we all love. Unfortunately, due to circumstances out of our control, we are at an unforeseen crossroad.
Although the majority of the sports clubs are allocated funding through the University, we are unable to attain any allocated funds for the 2019-2020 school year. On top of this, we are also deprived of an on-campus practice facility as well as a facility to compete. This means we are responsible for all of the expenses of the school year. These expenses include umpire fees, uniforms, field fees, league fees, travel expenses, and the list goes on.
While as undergraduate students we are trying to make the most of the situation, but we cannot cover all of these expenses ourselves. Consequently, we may have to forfeit significant opportunities due to the lack of funding. We as a team are immensely disappointed at the thought of such, so we turn to the community in a plea for help. We are not ready to give up the game we love.
Now we are reaching out to you, the greater Richmond community and beyond for help in pursuing our passion outside of the classroom setting. My experience with VCU Club Baseball these past years is something I will cherish with me forever, and I hope to be able to provide this for the next generation of players to come. We would immensely appreciate any contributions made towards our cause.
It would mean the world to us to get back on that field.
As always, Go Rams.
