My name is Tara, I am Vanessa Amos' aunt (Sometimes known as Ezra). Im going to post my sisters words for backstory.

On March 31st, 2022, around 8 pm, my daughter Vanessa Amos (22) allegedly fell or jumped from we are told the 25th floor of a high rise building (Ellis Don) at the corner of Bloor St. and Bathurst St Toronto.
I went to the site of the incident shortly after it was reported to me the next day. It was as if nothing had happened. Not even caution tape. The site Supers knew nothing of the incident and claimed they were not on shift. I asked if they had done an incident report or contacted the MOL, and they said that because the body must have fell outside of their property, they weren’t responsible and the police take care of the report. They said they had no surveillance footage of her entering or on the site. We spoke to neighboring businesses and they had not heard much of the incident and police had not spoken with any of them.
We proceeded to Vanessa's home and last known location to collect her belongings which appeared to all have been rummaged through. The police hadn't been there or seem as if they were intending to go. The girl that she was rooming with also last person she was seen with her within the hour of her death, was nowhere to be found until almost 2 days later, police still had not spoken with her. Someone is still answering Vanessa's phone and opening her messages 6 days later. Her wallet and sim card have not been located. Eye witnesses state her body had a tarp around it before police arrived. They also state there was signs of life and an attempt to resuscitate was made while being transferred to the hospital where she then died. This does not correlate with falling from the 25th floor.
The coroner won’t let me see the body, the police won’t tell me anything, the hospital is not obliged to give out information.

Vanessa was a very gifted human being with a bright future. She is very intelligent and artistic. Vanessa did not do drugs or alcohol. She has a little sister and a family that loves her very much. Her grandmother had booked a plane ticket for Monday morning, April 4th to go to Vancouver and visit family. Vanessa texted me and said that she was packing her bags and would appreciate a ride to the airport.
I don’t know exactly what happed to her, and I’m willing to accept the fact of the matter, but I will NOT allow this to be swept under the rug like it never happened. WE NEED ANSWERS.

Thank you

I made this gofundme to help my sister with funeral costs first and foremost. She will also need legal representation so no mistakes are made as we conduct a thorough investigation. Some avenues must be explored privately so we can get them done in a timely manner until Toronto Police (who have shown signs of negligence, disregard and incompetence regarding this case) pick up the pace on getting the very critical details of Vanessa's Murder.

We thank you in advance if you are able to donate to this cause. We appreciate everyone's love and support during this unimaginably difficult time.
