UPDATE 10 Was here for a month and two weeks out I was sent back to the hospital where I’ve had 3

more procedures - pneumonia, several blood clots near my heart, lungs, my neck arm and hands. I’m currently back at the hospital, I’m barely able to move, bloody stool & urine and now a bit of jaundice. The goal is to make life manageable enough to not need a transplant.

Hi my name is Valerie Lorenzo, two weeks ago my life took a turn for the worse. I’ve had two procedures, countless scans and doctors have not yet discovered the root cause of a severe blood clots, mass on liver, enlarged liver & spleen and fluid in the abdomen. They aren’t sure if it’s cancer (malignant) or benign due to not being able to biopsy the area of the liver hosting the mass for safety reasons. Currently being treated at Jackson Memorial Hospital and do not have health insurance. The doctors don’t know how long I’ll be here (10 days and counting so far) and I don’t know when I’ll be able to get back to work once I am home. Just need some help in the meantime so I don’t lose my home while I’m fighting for my life and am able to get treatments without the added worry of not having insurance.
