Help us to pay emergency vet bills and expenses.

Hi, we are Zaira and Rey (Anibal). We are trying to raise money to pay the debt that we incurred trying to save our Rusty.

Our sweet dog Rusty needed a dental cleaning in June. We took him to the clinic, and they found out that he had an autoimmune problem with premolar tooth resorption. Although we could not afford the vet bills, we went through with the procedure. All premolars were extracted.

Unfortunately, pet care is very expensive in our region. The cost completely wrecked our budget. We had to use credit cards to cover the vet bills.

Rusty never fully recovered from the surgery. He started losing weight and had other alarming symptoms. About three weeks ago Rusty got very sick. We took him to the clinic and did tests, that showed that Rusty had serious liver problems. We tried antibiotics and steroids. Nothing helped. He developed neurological problems. His little body couldn't fight anymore.

On Sunday, November 12 the vet hospital was closed, and we took Rusty to the emergency clinic because his condition deteriorated. We asked them to do everything to save our Rusty, but they couldn't save him. Our Rusty passed away on our laps.

We are asking for help paying our crushing veterinary debt and expenses. We are a low-income family, a full-time artist, and a disabled veteran. Unfortunately, we can't handle it by ourselves and can lose our housing. We have two old cats, and we need to pay rent soon. Please help us recover during this difficult time of grieving.

Our Rusty was the best dog ever, our child, our little angel.
