We are The Friends of Divine Light Awakening Center a Non-Profit, Non-Denominational Organization based in Queens, New York USA and was founded in 2005. We serve the community in the Tri-State area. We are seeking to help build a Community Center in Jamaica, New York.
Divine Light Awakening Center (DLAC) Mission:
Over 40 highly motivated volunteers, come from all walks of life. Their sole purposed is to serve the Community as a whole with a host of seminars, workshops and one-on one wellness counseling.
To work relentlessly to cultivate confidence and independence for families and individuals facing challenges such as: Stress Management, Personal Development, Health Management, Drug Rehabilitation, and Women and Youth Empowerment. All services are provided free of charge and are offered with love.
Community Building Status:
We are seeking to finish a Community Center in Jamaica, New York, but due to a shortage in funds our project had been stalled. We are targeting to complete the construction by Spring of 2014.
We are afraid that without additional support this Center cannot be completed. We are asking your help to donate whatever you can to help us complete the cost of the remaining needs to finish our Center.
Below is a list of items which we need to help complete the construction of Our Community Center:

"¢ Heating and Ventilation Unit Hook-up
"¢ Handicap Elevator, Concrete Walkways and Railings
"¢ Electrical Wiring & Fixtures for Indoor & Outdoor
"¢ Sprinkler system
"¢ Interior Construction Supplies
Summary:
We are very excited to be in the position to be of service to the community. Please help us to finish building our Community Center, which will allow us to have regular scheduled services and programs for the Mission of Global Peace and assisting all. If you feel this work is worthy of your support, please consider making a tax deductible donation registered under IRS Section 501(c) (3) or donate construction or building supplies to this great effort and assist us in making this dream come true in our great city of New York. If you are not able to donate at this time, then we ask that you please offer a prayer for our work.
