Helaas is dit een slecht nieuws bericht. Onze lieve vader/opa/broer/eigenaar van Sunny Beach Groningen: Farid Meddour ligt momenteel in een kritieke toestand in het ziekenhuis in Bulgarije. Wij willen jullie vragen om hem mee te helpen. Hieronder lezen jullie een uitgebreid verhaal over zijn situatie:
Zijn discotheek ging dicht wegens corona. Hierdoor had hij veel vrije tijd en besloot naar Bulgarije te gaan om te genieten van de zee. Op 5 april kreeg hij heftige buikpijn, kon bijna niet ademen en ging toen naar een privé-kliniek. Hem werd verteld dat er niks aan de hand was en werd weggestuurd met antibiotica. De pijn bleef echter aanhouden en ging op 10 april naar een andere ziekenhuis. Hier werd geconstateerd dat hij in een vergevorderde stadium was van peritonitis. Hij moest met spoed geopereerd worden en er is een stuk van zijn darm weggehaald. Hierna bleek hij 400ml vloeistof in zijn lichaam te hebben en hebben ze hem nog een keer geopereerd en een monster naar het laboratorium gestuurd (zij wisten niet waar de vloeistof vandaan kwam). Op 13 april hebben wij hem voor de laatste keer gesproken want toen werd er een laatste operatie gedaan. Na de operatie heeft hij een beroerte, verhoging en buik infectie gekregen. Wij zijn op dat moment naar bulgarije gevlogen. Hij ligt op dit moment aan de zware beademing, heeft nog steeds een infectie en de tube die zijn gal met zijn lever verbindt is losgegaan en de artsen kunnen op dit moment niks meer doen. Zij durven de operatie niet aan omdat ze bang zijn dat hij het niet gaan redden. Wij willen hem zo snel mogelijk naar Nederland halen zodat de artsen in Nederland zo snel mogelijk aan de slag kunnen gaan. In Nederland zijn de medische mogelijkheden groter. Helaas heeft hij geen reisverzekering en wordt de vlucht dus niet vergoed. De kosten om hem naar Nederland te halen met een ambulance vlucht ligt tussen de € 30.000 en € 35.000. Helaas hebben wij geen dikke bankrekening. Hierom willen wij jullie vragen om ons mee te helpen om hem naar Nederland te halen. Help ons om zijn leven te redden. Alle kleine beetjes helpen.

His disco was closed due to corona. This gave him a lot of free time and decided to go to Bulgaria to enjoy the sea. On April 5, he developed severe stomach pains, could barely breathe and then went to a private clinic. He was told nothing was wrong and was sent away with antibiotics. However, the pain persisted and went to another hospital on April 10. Here he was found to be in an advanced stage of peritonitis. He needed urgent surgery and a piece of his intestine was removed. After this he turned out to have 400ml of fluid in his body and they operated on him again and sent a sample to the lab (they didn't know where the fluid came from). We spoke to him for the last time on April 13, because then a final operation was done. After the operation, he suffered a stroke, elevation and abdominal infection. At that time we flew to Bulgaria. He is currently on heavy respiration, still has an infection and the tube connecting his bile to his liver has come loose and there is nothing the doctors can do at this point. They do not dare to have the operation because they are afraid that he will not make it. We want to get him to the Netherlands as soon as possible so that doctors in the Netherlands can get started as soon as possible. Medical options are greater in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, he has no travel insurance and the flight is therefore not reimbursed. The cost of bringing him to the Netherlands with an ambulance flight is between € 30,000 and € 35,000.
