Hi, my name is Bill Daggett and the young man pictured on the cover is our son Luke. He is non-verbal autistic and requires someone with him at all times. Luke is in his twelfth year of high school and graduates next month.
My wife Jodi came to me wanting to do something spectacular for his associate who has been with him for twelve years. We call her Mama Jo. She is the one who has assured for the last twelve years that our son was safe and made us confident to send him to school. She has loved him and cared for him like, well, a mother. Luke is not just a job to her but her boy and that is something that is rare.
We want to do something out of the ordinary for her and can do something small but do not have the means to accomplish our goal. I have partnered with Stiver Ford in Waukee in an attempt to raise enough funds to purchase Jo a brand new vehicle. Stivers Ford is willing to price the vehicle to make purchasing it possible. My mission is to raise the funds in one month to make the purchase and present it to her at graduation after the ceremony.
I know you do not know Jo but you may know Luke if you know us, and if so, you know how important she has been to us. If you do not know us, I would just ask that you help with a dollar or whatever you can give to make this possible. The vehicle wasn't just chosen at random. Associates like many of us are not rich and this gift would make a world of difference.
