<div>After a sell-out, multi-award-winning run at last year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe and a hugely successful UK tour packed with ★★★★★ reviews, WHEN WE WERE YOUNG is returning to the Fringe and we need your support to make it happen.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Critically acclaimed by audiences and reviewers alike, the show picked up multiple awards during its Fringe debut and went on to tour the UK, reaching communities where its story resonates most. Now, as gang violence and knife crime continue to rise across the UK, WHEN WE WERE YOUNG feels more urgent and relevant than ever.

<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is a hilarious and heartbreaking piece of working-class theatre that takes audiences on an emotional rollercoaster. At first, the show appears to be a fly-on-the-wall comedy following the lives of one of Glasgow’s many young teams, full of bravado, banter, and humour. But beneath the laughter lies a far darker truth. As the story unfolds, the cracks begin to show, revealing the devastating realities of poverty, violence, and survival on the streets.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Raw, honest, and unflinching, WHEN WE WERE YOUNG offers a powerful glimpse into lives rarely seen on stage. It is a story that desperately deserves to be told and one that remains heartbreakingly relevant in today’s society.

<div><strong>Why we need your support</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We’re bringing WHEN WE WERE YOUNG to the Fringe as an independent production because we believe strongly in this story and want to keep it accessible, truthful, and rooted in the communities it represents. Producing a show at the Fringe comes with a lot of unavoidable costs, many of which have to be paid upfront, long before any tickets are sold.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Everyone involved in this production is committing their time, energy, and skill because they believe in the importance of telling this story. Any profit we do make will be shared among the hard-working team of actors, who are taking this on regardless of box office success to help raise awareness of the issues at the heart of the play.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Your support will help us cover the very real costs of getting the show back to Edinburgh to play a part in the biggest arts festival in the world :
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>•	Venue costs and Fringe registration
</div>
<div>•	Travel and parking
</div>
<div>•	Marketing and promotion
</div>
<div>•	Flyer design and distribution
</div>
<div>•	Show materials and production costs
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>By supporting this campaign, you’re helping independent artists bring an urgent and honest story back to the Fringe and making sure it reaches the audiences it was made for.
