Help Us Survive This Perfect Storm

August 4th, that's the day the storm began for my family.  I had been preparing for another day at work, but I didn't feel right.  I talked with my beautiful wife Rachel, and I decided to push through it.  Money had already been tight up until that point, and missing work would be a struggle.  I don't remember much beyond that point of the day, as I collapsed.  You see, I had a suspected minor Arrhythmia caused by severe high blood pressure and anxiety.
After a failed attempt to return to work a week later, it was decided that I had to walk away from the position.  It was the only option, as four blocked attempts to transfer and even a denied attempt for fewer hours made it clear I was trapped.  At that time, my wife Rachel was on the verge of a promotion and getting plenty of hours.  Things would be very limited while I recovered, but we would've gotten by at that point.
On September 12th, things got worse.  Rachel was forced to go on restrictions after suffering an injury at work.  Her employer has positions she could work while recovering, so there wasn't workers comp as most people know.  The next problem, as though she was working 40+ hours a week, the workers comp only scheduled her what her actual title granted per contract.  Since she's considered part time, they've been scheduling her no more than 20 hours a week.  You can imagine the shock of going $500 a week income to less than $200, if we were lucky.
The insult to injury happened a week later, when we noticed our only vehicle was leaking gas.   At first, we thought it was only a minor leak.  However, it turned out to be a major issue.  The first of the two holes we discovered was a baseball size gap right at the connector of the tank to the fuel line.  The second is a hole directly on the fuel pump.  This caused us to go through $20 in gas per trip minimum, even if it was going around the block.
The escalation of these incidents, and the harsh demanding nature of the companies where we live, have caused a chain reaction where we're on the verge of losing everything.  Forced to miss several days of work due to lack of funds and gas, we've gone almost three weeks without income.  This has been a nightmare, growing in size  and perceptively unstoppable.
There's hope for us yet.  Rachel has to get the Doctor's okay, but physical therapy has cleared her, and we're hopeful she'll be back to work this coming week.  In fact, as long as the Doctor agrees, she's scheduled 40 hours.  On top of that good news, we'd never even have made it this far without the help of some incredible people.  There's hope, but we still have one more obstacle to overcome, and that's time.
We're at a breaking point.   Bills are late, we have no gas money, and there's no way to fix the vehicle.  We could lose everything, and have no chance to recover.  We'd lose our home, and everything in it.  With a broken vehicle, there isn't much we could do to fight it.  I'm looking for work, but it's been a rough go, as my health hasn't fully recovered.  Everything we've attempted to resolve our situation has failed.  To put it bluntly, I'm begging for help.
If we can get these funds to pay for rent, utilities, and gas, we can continue to push to recover, and with income finally coming in the following week, we may be able to succeed.  Thank you for reading and God Bless.
