<div>On Friday, April 25th Kwasi and Elizabeth (née Curseen) Agbottah were killed at a bus stop in Detroit, MI on their way to buy groceries for their five beautiful sons (ranging from ages 2 to 15).

</div>
<div>We mourn the tragic loss of Kwasi and Elizabeth, a devoted couple whose lives were marked by faith, service, and extraordinary love. As urban missionaries, they leave behind a large community of beloved friends and family, whose lives they have touched immeasurably.

</div>
<div>Elizabeth and Kwasi lived a humble but rich life full of service, fellowship, and creativity. They met working as youth counselors for Bay Shore Ministries Summer youth program in East Palo Alto, CA. Their passion for education and service allowed them to impact the lives of so many different people across the country, including Delaware, OH; Ann Arbor, MI; Philadelphia; Minneapolis, MN; Detroit, MI; Fayetteville, NC; Austin, TX; San Antonio, TX; and then finally back to Detroit where they had been living and working since 2019.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Above all, Elizabeth and Kwasi were committed, intentional parents who fostered in their children a love of community, discipleship, and caring for God’s creation. We know their legacy — of service, education, faith, and radical generosity — lives on through their sons, their writing and music, and in the countless lives they touched.

<div><br />
</div>
<div>The boys are under the loving care of family but their lives are forever changed. Humbled by the outpouring of support, we’ve created this page to assist with burial costs and the boys’ ongoing care. As the family navigates this unimaginable loss, we are thankful for your prayers, love, and continued support for the boys’ futures.

<div>No contribution is too small. Every act of kindness and generosity will go directly toward easing the burden on this family and showing them they are not alone.
