 Con el corazón en la mano y con mucha humildad, hoy acudimos a ustedes para pedir su apoyo en uno de los momentos más difíciles que nuestra familia ha enfrentado.

 La noche del martes 14 de julio de 2026, mi esposo, Jorge Reyes, sufrió un ataque al corazón. Durante esta emergencia, Jorge convulsionó y, por aproximadamente tres minutos, perdió los signos vitales. Gracias a la infinita misericordia de Dios y a la rápida intervención de los paramédicos y el equipo médico, lograron reanimarlo y realizarle un procedimiento de emergencia en su corazón.

 Posteriormente fue trasladado de emergencia al JFK Hospital, donde permanece en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos. Aunque estamos profundamente agradecidos porque sigue con nosotros, su estado continúa siendo delicado. Su corazón aún está débil, su presión arterial sigue fluctuando y los médicos continúan monitoreándolo de cerca.

 Este proceso ha traído consigo una enorme carga emocional, pero también una difícil carga económica. Los gastos médicos, el transporte y otros costos relacionados con su tratamiento siguen aumentando cada día.

 Debido a la gravedad de su condición, los médicos estiman que Jorge no podrá regresar a trabajar por lo menos durante los próximos seis meses. Él es el único sostén económico de nuestro hogar, por lo que esta situación ha dejado a nuestra familia enfrentando una gran incertidumbre.

 On the night of Tuesday, July 14, 2026, my husband, Jorge Reyes, suffered a sudden heart attack. During this medical emergency, he experienced seizures and lost all signs of life for approximately three minutes. By the grace of God and the quick actions of the paramedics and medical team, they were able to revive him and perform an emergency procedure on his heart.

 Jorge was then transferred to JFK Hospital, where he remains in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). While we are incredibly grateful that he is still with us, his condition remains critical. His heart is still very weak, his blood pressure continues to fluctuate, and he is being closely monitored by his medical team.

 This unexpected tragedy has placed an overwhelming emotional and financial burden on our family. Medical expenses, transportation costs, and other essential expenses continue to grow each day.

 Because of the severity of his condition, his doctors expect that Jorge will be unable to return to work for at least the next six months. He is the sole provider for our family, and this sudden loss of income has left us facing significant financial hardship while he focuses on healing.
