Help Us Support Equity in Yoga
Donation protected
We are the Bhakti Yoga Movement Center, Portland's only South Asian and Queer owned yoga space.
We are a unique community offering trauma-informed, accessible, yoga practices with an equity pricing program for folks who can't afford regular prices. As part of this program we offer weekly by-donation Queer and Trans and BIPOC classes.
In the past year, our business made a $2,000 profit and we gave away $4,000 in equity pricing - all while volunteering the majority of our time as co-owners. That means we gave away double what we made.
We need your help to keep our doors open and keep offering accessible yoga, accessibly.
We have two generous donors who have offered $3,000 in match funding. Can you help us raise $3,000 to turn that in to $6,000?
What our students have to say about us:
"This place is a safe haven. A place I would def walk to as a refuge, as a meeting place, if the whole world collapsed tomorrow. I hope you all know how important what you all are creating is, in the physical and nonphysical realms. It's gonna be so vital in what is to come. So glad to be a part of your community." - Ash C.
Other ways to support:
-share about our community
-keep or purchase a yoga class membership - support yourself while supporting our community!
