We we are asking for donations to help Unit 1 Gallery | Workshop continue its mission and enable its programmes to keep generously providing fulfilling experiences for all. Since being founded in 2015,
Unit 1 Gallery | Workshop has evolved into a generous organisation that supports a diverse range of emerging and mid-career contemporary Artists, by providing them with space and time to develop their practices and showcase their talents to the public.
Despite the pandemic, we worked Miracles in 2021 & Now 6 Months into 2022 we are still giving it our All

Keeping Unit 1 Gallery | Workshop running is no small task. We have lost more than 50% of our income due to Covid-19 and we have still not recovered. This is why we are asking for help from individuals who care about us. In 2020, we successfully raised over £18,000 thanks to the generosity of so many people. With this, we were able to support our community of Artists by providing a grant of £200 each. With your help we believe that we can achieve this again! In the spirit of generosity, we are appealing for your support in raising £50,000 to sustain our future programmes.
Our core motivation is to provide Artists and members of the public the opportunity to come together through our exhibitions, events and residency programmes. We have a long-established record of success and we’d love to build upon this.
What your donation will support
Exhibition Programme
Solo Residency: 1 Artist, three times a year. 3 months studio space, plus an individual exhibition
Radical Residency®: 10 Artists, once a year. 1 month studio space, plus a group exhibition
Mentoring Programme
