<div>Over the past year, my husband and I experienced repeated housing instability across the North Seattle and Eastside area, including Kenmore, Shoreline, and Kirkland. Despite working consistently and actively searching for stability, we were unable to secure long-term housing due to income requirements, lack of rental history, and the fact that assistance programs in our area prioritize families with children.

<div>During this period, we were placed in unsafe living situations, including an incident involving domestic violence where a police report was filed. Following that, we continued to lose housing with little notice, despite our efforts to remain stable.

<div>As a result, we spent approximately four months living out of our car while continuing to work. During that time, we relied on Planet Fitness for showers, grocery stores for meals, and rotated parking locations nightly to avoid being asked to leave.
</div>

<div>Through the support of a local church community, we were eventually able to secure an apartment in Kirkland. However, the financial impact of months of instability, emergency expenses, and missed work has left us with a significant rent balance we are now struggling to cover. We are currently facing the risk of eviction if we cannot bring our account current.

<div>The goal of this fundraiser is to cover approximately $7,000 in outstanding rent and essential housing-related costs, including late fees and standard payment processing fees. Any funds raised will be used strictly for this purpose, and even partial support helps reduce the immediate risk of displacement.
