Dear friends, family, and anyone with a kind heart who may be reading this, This coming Monday, we will be welcoming our baby girl into the world. It is a moment we have been waiting for with so much love, hope, and excitement. However, she is arriving during a very challenging financial season for our family. Over the past few months, we have done everything possible to prepare for her birth. We have worked hard, reduced expenses, postponed important household payments, and adjusted our work hours to be present for this life-changing moment. Even so, the reality is that we do not currently have enough funds to cover the hospital’s upfront costs, medical copays, and other essential expenses related to the delivery. As many know, the economic situation in Minnesota has become increasingly difficult for many families—especially for those of us navigating immigration processes and work limitations. This has directly impacted our financial stability. We have had to reduce work hours and take on medical expenses that our insurance has not fully covered. At this time, we are seeking help to cover: • Hospital upfront payments and medical copays for the birth • Any additional medical expenses that may arise • Postpartum medications and follow-up appointments • Essential baby items (diapers, clothing, crib, and formula if needed) • Overdue housing and utility payments that we have had to postpone Our goal is not only to cover a medical bill, but to give our daughter a stable, safe, and dignified beginning. We want to welcome her with peace of mind, knowing we can focus fully on her health and well-being without the overwhelming burden of financial stress. It is not easy for us to ask for help. We have always tried to move forward through our own effort and hard work. But we also understand that sometimes life places us in moments where community and mutual support truly make the difference.
