I’m a soccer dad and the founder of Grass Roots Foundation, a San Diego–based nonprofit committed to removing the financial barriers that keep talented kids out of the game.
Club soccer and elite training often cost thousands of dollars per year — and for many families, it’s simply out of reach. That means gifted, hardworking kids are missing out on opportunities that could shape their futures.
We’re launching our first free training events this summer in partnership with Albert Puig Fútbol Concepts (APFC) — a world-class coaching organization known for its elite player development model. These are not basic soccer clinics. They’re professional-level sessions designed to challenge and elevate young athletes — the kind of training usually reserved for those who can pay.
Our mission is to make this experience available to kids who otherwise wouldn’t have the chance.
Your donation helps us sponsor players from low-income families, giving them access to elite coaching, exposure, and belief in themselves. Whether you give $25 or $500, you’re opening the door for a young athlete to be seen, inspired, and included.
Thank you for helping us level the playing field — one kid at a time.
