<div>My name is Henry Mkumbira Phiri, Chairman of the Malawian Diaspora in Ireland and a close family friend to the Thawes.

<div>I am saddened to announce that we have lost our brother George Thawe in Germany who according to Germany police, was found dead floating on a river in Germany.
</div>

</div>
<div>This news has devastated our family as we all knew George as a young child full of ambition, and very friendly.
</div>

</div>
<div>The family is in total disbelief and shock over the tragic death of the young George and imagining how helpless he was at the time of his horrific departure.
</div>

</div>
<div>Following this sudden departure of George, we have resorted as family that we repatriate his body to Malawi, in order to be accorded a proper send off by his family and loved ones.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In light of the above, I appeal to well wishers to help us with funds for George’s repatriation to Malawi.
</div>
