Brothers and Sisters,

-HELP save sacred Irish land situated at the centre point of Ireland.
-HELP to create a space of community of learning, sustainability, biodiversity, and preserving the Irish language and culture.
-SPREAD the word to help raise funds to prevent the sale of the landc

The Challenge
Last week we received a phone call that the land was put up for auction. We have three weeks to raise this money to save the land from being unfairly sold. All in all the money that is needed to clear everything is around 100,000. To many people, including myself, that seems like a lot of money. However, in the grander scheme of things, this is not a lot, or impossible by any means. I have so much faith in the power of this vision and in the passion many people have for this place and for standing in solidarity together in these times of need.

The land is around 60 acres of organic land that has never been sprayed by fertiliser. Horses roam freely there, and herbs grow aplenty. It is in the very centre of Ireland, part of an ancient sacred site. There is a ringfort, ancient holywell, and many other remains of ancient monuments.

THE VISION for this place is to create a space of community, connection, healing and learning. We are forming a co-operative where people have shares in a community based project that is carrying this vision forward. It is a perfect place for a healing retreat centre, with spaces to offer workshops and teachings. A place where sections are left wild, trees are planted and wildlife is abundant. A school of teachings on Celtic Spirituality, music, poetry, storytelling and natural medicine. But first and foremost the land must be saved from being sold.

We are calling out for help, for a vision of community and reconnection.

-For every 100euro donated 1 native tree will be planted on the land.
-If you donate 1,000 you get a lifetime of access to camp on the land.
-5,000+ is a space in the co-operative.
Those that donate any amount will be invited to our gathering that will celebrate the victory when we save the land!

In 2016 I miraculously ended up being connected with a man who so generously opened his land to me. He allowed me to move there and set up a simple little house and garden for myself. Manys a person came to help me set up and work on the land to create an inhabitable space. People came from all over Europe to visit the land and help out. Gatherings of work and celebration brought hearts together by the fireside. The mexican Huichol Tribe came to visit and do ceremony there as part of a pilgrimage. It felt like something big was happening beyond what could be foretold.

A bit of a backstory on the land and owner:
The owner, who I will not name due to his right to privacy, inherited the land from his uncle who died some years ago. His uncle became sick in his last years of life and was taken into a nursing home. As his uncle did not have the money to pay, the land was put up for auction without permission of him or his family. The current landowner fought in the high court for the land and won.
However, the so called debt did not go away when his uncle died, in fact it got worse due to legal fees and so called ''inheritance tax'' and ''administration fees''.

The Solution

Right now the best situation seems to be to pay the debt. An agreement is arising with the land owner where it is possible to buy the debt from him and in exchange receive some of the land to work as a community space, and perhaps to eventually live there. An agreement has been made that some of the land will be owned by a group of custodians. The vision is to have the space as a community gathering centre, a place of learning and healing,

So brothers and sisters, We are reaching out to all peoples- whatever you can offer or think of at this time that may help is most welcome. From the beginning this was a vision that brought so much community into my life and the lives of many others. I feel this is just another element of that coming together.

Whatever you can do to help, may it be donating, promoting, or offering suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact me with advice or offerings. If you know some patron or sponsor who could possibly donate or support this.

May we truly come together in support and solidarity for our right to be on the land.

So far in the space of a day, a patron has stepped forward and offered 10,000... And money is manifesting in magical and miraculous ways. More than anything this is about getting the word out to those who may be able to support this in some way financially or provide support in other ways.

Thank you so much for your time and for all those who are supporting this vision.

Go raibh míle maith agaibh mo chairde, Tá grá mór i mo chroí.

Friends of the Land.

In the event of this not coming to fruition the money will be invested in creating this space and vision elsewhere.
