<div>My sister's dog, Suri, has recently been diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease known as IMHA - a life-threatening condition where her immune system is attacking her own red blood cells.

<div>What began as fatigue and lack of appetite quickly escalated into an emergency. After bloodwork, ultrasounds, and hospitalization, Suri was diagnosed with this aggressive disease. She is now undergoing intensive treatment, including blood transfusions, steroids, antibiotics, anti-bloodclotting medication, and ongoing care that will include immunosuppressants and attention from a specialty vet.

<div>The costs are overwhelming - her emergency vet bills have already surpassed $5K, and ongoing care, medications, and follow-up visits will continue to strain Haley's funds. I know she will not ask for assistance herself, so I am on her behalf. This isn't something she can do on her own.

<div>Suri is so much more than just a pet, she is Haley's best friend. She has brought us all so much joy, comfort, and unconditional love. She's such a gentle soul, but she is a fighter! Signs are already pointing in the right direction after her first blood transfusion, and we are hoping for those strides to continue.
