<div>A mi esposo le han diagnosticado insuficiencia cardiaca en Válvula Aórtica, han sido días de angustia, de no entender que sucede, de buscar respuestas y sentimos humildemente la necesidad de compartir nuestra historia al mismo tiempo de solicitarles su generosidad para apoyarnos y para compartir esta información.

<div>Mi esposo se llama José Manuel tiene 45 años, tenemos 02 hijos de 14 y 10 años respectivamente, muchos proyectos por ejecutar y experiencias por vivir con nuestros hijos. Hace 02 años lo diagnosticaron hipertenso, continuamente se ha estado realizando chequeos para mantener los niveles de su presión arterial controlados,sin embargo, este año en Mayo visita a su cardiólogo y el médico le realiza la solicitud de un ecocardiograma en donde el médico logró observar que el corazón tenía un tamaño más grande de lo normal.

<div>El médico decide repetir el estudio en otro centro médico y esta vez lo realiza el propio médico tratante nuevamente observando que el ventrículo izquierdo del corazón se encuentra dilatado y notando una regurgitación de la sangre que debe salir del corazón hacia la aorta, es decir, gran parte de la sangre no sale completa a través de la válvula aórtica lo que hace que se devuelva al corazón y se aloje allí.

<div>Nuevamente el médico solicita un estudio más especializado, llamado ecocardiograma transesofágico y allí se logra observar que la raíz del problema es que Jose Manuel nació con la válvula aórtica bicúspide cuando debería ser tricúspide, por lo tanto la válvula no cierra correctamente, por lo cual la única opción es realizar una cirugía de corazón abierto para reemplazar la válvula bicúspide por una prótesis, no si antes el médico advertir que no ir a cirugía esta falla de valvula podría ir complicando en el tiempo (Aneurismas, hemorragias, infartos) dando como expectativa de vida de 5 a 10 años.

<div>Luego de estos hemos visitado no menos de 05 médicos para comparar diagnósticos, siendo la solución la misma, La cirugía para reemplazar la válvula, cabe destacar que radicamos en Venezuela y aquí la salud pública no cuenta con recursos por lo tanto debemos recurrir a una clínica privada, hemos estado solventando los gastos médicos con recursos propios y seguiremos haciendo lo posible por cubrirlo, sin embargo, hoy nos vemos en la necesidad de recurrir a sus corazones y a su generosidad para poder completar el valor de la cirugía que actualmente asciende a poco más de $33.300.

<div>My husband José Manuel, 45 years old, a loving father of two children aged 14 and 10, has been diagnosed with heart failure caused by a bicuspid aortic valve.

<div>Two years ago, he was diagnosed with hypertension, but in May of this year, after new tests, doctors discovered that his aortic valve does not close properly, which causes a large portion of the blood to flow back into the heart. This has resulted in dilation of the left ventricle and an enlarged heart.

<div>The diagnosis is clear: the only solution is open-heart surgery to replace the valve with a prosthesis.
</div>
<div>Doctors warned us that without surgery, his life expectancy could be reduced to 5–10 years, with risks of aneurysms, hemorrhages, and heart attacks.

<div>In Venezuela, the public healthcare system does not have the resources for this type of procedure, so we must go to a private clinic. The total cost of the surgery is $33,300, and although we have managed to cover part of it with our own resources, today we need your help to complete this amount and save José Manuel’s life.
