<div>Somos Irma y Willie, los padres de Jamie, y hoy pedimos ayuda de la manera más dolorosa y humilde que unos padres pueden hacerlo. Nuestra hija ha sido diagnosticada con cáncer de apéndice con carcinomatosis peritoneal mucinosa, una condición extremadamente rara que afecta solo a 1 o 2 personas en un millón. Su salud ha sido gravemente afectada y toda nuestra familia está pasando por un momento muy difícil.

<div>Jamie fue hospitalizada recientemente con una inflamación abdominal tan severa que parecía tener seis meses de embarazo. Estaba en un dolor insoportable, sin poder caminar, toser o incluso respirar sin dificultad. Ver a nuestra hija sufrir así ha sido la experiencia más dura de nuestras vidas.

<div>El tratamiento que ella necesita  que incluye cirugía, quimioterapia, medicamentos, terapias holísticas y múltiples deducibles médicos podría llegar a cientos de miles de dólares en los próximos 6 meses. Como padres, lo único que deseamos es darle la oportunidad de seguir viviendo, sanando y luchando. Pero esta carga económica es demasiado grande para afrontarla solos.

<div>We are Irma and Willie, the parents of Jamie, and today we are asking for help in the most painful and humble way a parent ever could. Our daughter has been diagnosed with appendiceal cancer with mucinous peritoneal carcinomatosis, a rare and serious condition that affects only 1–2 people per million. It has devastated her health and shaken our entire family.

<div>Jamie was recently hospitalized with severe abdominal inflammation, so extreme that she appeared six months pregnant. She was in unbearable pain, unable to walk, cough, or even breathe without difficulty. Watching our daughter suffer like this has been the hardest experience of our lives.
