We are thrilled to share some fantastic news—seven dedicated Fermanagh teenagers have been selected to represent Ireland at two major international rowing events this summer:
• Coupe de la Jeunesse in Linz, Austria (August 1st–3rd, 2025)
• Junior World Rowing Championships in Trakai, Lithuania (August 6th–10th, 2025)
These young athletes have trained tirelessly and shown incredible commitment to their sport, and their selection is a proud moment for them, their families, coaches, and the wider Enniskillen rowing community.
Meet Our International Athletes:
• Isabella Wright will compete at the Junior World Championships as part of the U19 Women’s 4- sweep team.
• Naomi Robinson has been selected for the U19 Women’s sweep team at the Coupe de la Jeunesse.
• Evan Donaghy, Ryan Topping, Austin Cassidy, Luke Bailey, and coxswain Abbey Wilson will form part of the U19 Men’s sweep team, also competing at Coupe de la Jeunesse.
We are incredibly proud of each of them for reaching this level of excellence.
Why We Need Your Help
As you can imagine, the costs of international competition are significant and have increased substantially this year.
For example, the Coupe regatta costs €1,100 per athlete—a considerable expense for any young athlete.
To help ease the financial burden and ensure our rowers can focus fully on representing Ireland with pride, we are aiming to raise funds that will be equally shared among the seven athletes.
Every donation—large or small—will make a real difference. Your support will not only help these young athletes compete at the highest level but also show them how much their community is behind them.
Thank you for your generosity and belief in our rowers. Let’s help them fly the flag for Enniskillen and Ireland this summer!
