Help us renovate Hanifa’s sewing shop

Hey team! Our friend Hanifa Javardi is a textile entrepreneur in Salt Lake City who runs a sewing shop with dozens of employees. Hanifa came to the US 6 years ago and is a refugee. She is an incredible woman — a single mom who is fearless in pursuing her dream, she brings joy and determination to any place that she enters into. She’s dreamed of having her own sewing shop that employees other women who can work from home and she’s well on her way. Having her own sewing shop has been Hanifa’s dream, and she acquired a new space recently to do just that and has 26 women working for her from their homes.

We are renovators and when we met Hanifa and heard her story, we wanted to partner with her to make her space great. We know how hard it is to run a small business and wanted to come alongside her to help build up her dream. We will be donating our time and design skills to create a beautiful and functional space for Hanifa to not only create, but grow.

We want to show her that there are more people behind her than just us, so we want to ask you all to join us in this project by donating toward her renovation. We believe it’s always more fun to build something as a team, as a community.

We’ll be writing the names of the donors on the walls of her shop so she can be surrounded by people who believe in her every time she steps into her business and turns the lights on.
