My name is Rosemary, and I’m a single mom who recently moved into a new home with my two children. What was supposed to be a fresh start for us has turned into a stressful and urgent situation. After moving in, I discovered that the house has many issues I wasn’t aware of, but the most pressing is a 100-year-old tree in our yard. The tree is cracking down the middle and could fall on our house at any moment. Living in Oklahoma, where tornadoes are a real threat every spring, I was told by a professional tree removal service that if the tree isn’t taken down before tornado season, a tornado could bring it down on our home. This would not only destroy the house we just moved into, but could also put our lives at risk.

On top of this, I’ve fallen behind on bills because of the many smaller repairs that needed to be handled right away. As a single mom, I’m doing everything I can to keep my kids safe and provide them with a stable home, but the costs have quickly become overwhelming. I’m reaching out for help because I want to make sure my children are safe and that we can stay in our new home without fear.

Funds raised will go first toward removing the dangerous tree before tornado season arrives. If there is any support left over, it will help us get caught up on bills and take care of other urgent repairs. Thank you so much for reading our story and for sharing or donating. It isn’t easy to ask for help, but I do so with humility and gratitude. I’m so grateful to have a community to lean into during tough times.
