Help us recover from our unexpected loss

Hi, my name is Christina and I'm Kim Weatherbee's only child. (also known by Kim Kaufmann, and Krineski) She died very unexpectedly on January 18th, 2022, at home right in front of me. We'd been talking right before it happened and I'm still in shock from having to do CPR and watch the EMTs do the same, and finding out that her heart had stopped completely and there was nothing they could do. It doesn't feel real.

My mother and I were very close. In my almost 39 years on this earth, we lived together for all but six months or less. We were better together and we always leaned on each other. We were always a team and my family and I are devastated by her unexpected death. She was an integral part of our household and adjusting to the loss is going to be very difficult.

Mom was disabled due to rheumatoid arthritis and had a limited income from SSDI. It would never have been enough to live on her own, but we always wanted her with us, so we were happy to pool resources. My children are homeschooled and before she became disabled, she worked so that I could be home with them. I've never been able to work for long because of my depression and anxiety, and though I'll have to find a job now and find a way to make it work, as of this moment, we are unable to pay all the regular bills and mortgage without her monthly deposit.

Cremation expenses, even the bare bones, is over $2000 that we just don't have. My grandmother, mom's mom, is going to try to help with some of the costs, but everything is up in the air while I figure out all the things I need to do to handle her affairs. She had life insurance, but I'm not sure if the circumstances of her death will qualify for a payout. She'd just created a new policy last year to cover final expenses that hasn't matured enough to cover funeral home costs it was intended for.

Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated. The pain of the loss along with the stress of the situation are overwhelming and knowing that we can get her ashes and pay our bills until we're able to stabilize and figure things out would be a weight off my shoulders.
