Help us rebuild the Danny Bushway Memorial Cages

Hello My name is Scott Huff, and I am the President of Roger Allen Baseball.

Roger Allen baseball is a 501c3 non profit that serves our community of Rochester, NH. We currently provide baseball to Rochester residents and have over 600 players between our recreational season, tourney season, and fall ball. We have the great pleasure of hosting one of the state's largest tournaments, the Kittridge, which this year alone hosted 36 teams. Our facility has 11 fields and provides baseball to children ages 3.5-12 years old, and our costs are paid strictly off donations and sponsorships.

For those of you who do not know our Danny Bushway batting cages collapsed last month during a microburst. We have filed an insurance claim but due to the nature of our insurance we are only to claim the equipment inside as a total loss.

Our batting cage, the Danny Bushway batting cage, was built in 2005 and has served the growth of our players ever since.

It has served as a tool for each coach to help teach the fundamentals of baseball and for children to hone their skills, and its collapse has not only dealt a blow to our program, but also to the friends and families that sought to build this in memory of Danny Bushway.

With rising costs of materials and the financial strain the program would absorb to rebuild, we have to reach out to you, the friends and family of our program Roger Allen baseball, our community and fans of the great game of baseball in general.
