#HandsOfHope is a campaign aimed at rebuilding South Africa by uplifting communities and peoples’ livelihoods. The campaign comes after the unrest in July 2021. Hands of Hope seeks to assist the communities that were hit hard by the destruction of stores & infrastructure.
The #HandsOfHope campaign takes on a three-phased approach designed to achieve our aims to create hope and sustainability.
The Durban-based Rugby team Cell-C Sharks and The Beast Foundation, together with the generosity of our combined stakeholders, will carry out the following activities:
1. A soup kitchen will be distributing food to almost a 1000 people daily from Jonsson Kings Park in Durban.
2. Rebuilding as many small businesses and facilities within communities that have been decimated.
3. The procurement and distribution of essential food and goods to communities in need of assistance.
The Beast Foundation believes that by working together, we will be able to restore dignity, hope and unify the people of KwaZulu Natal and South Africa. We urge you to open your hearts and pockets by donating to the fund and help #rebuildSA
About the Beast Foundation:
The Beast Foundation is the brain-child and heart of Tendai ‘ The Beast’ Mtawarira, a Zimbabwean-born South African professional rugby player. The Beast is a 2019 Rugby World Cup Winner and one of the best athletes of our time. The Beast Foundation was founded in August 2020 to continue his legacy in changing the world.
