Help Save Slide City Waterpark – After Theft, Storms & Setbacks, We Still Showed Up!
Hi, we’re Chris and Quinasia Worthy, and Kevin Barchus — we co-founded Slide City Waterpark, the world’s first traveling inflatable waterpark, created to bring summer fun directly into communities that need it most.
We formed this idea together to keep the fun in family — to give kids and parents in urban areas a way to make lasting memories without having to travel far or spend a fortune. Over the past 3 years, we’ve brought joy to over 10,000 inner-city kids , many of whom had never been to a waterpark before.
We’ve partnered with city programs like SYEP to provide youth employment, safe fun, and community experiences that families truly love.
What Happened
This year, we took a huge leap and brought Slide City to Atlanta — our first stop outside of NYC.
And then everything went wrong.
• Severe weather caused our inflatables to collapse — some even blew onto the highway
• Our vehicle was stolen, with critical equipment for water and power operations inside
• We lost key communication tools (phones, contacts, and devices) needed to coordinate with staff and city partners
• We suffered major operational losses, brand damage, and safety concerns
But even through all of that — we still showed up every day we could. Because we believe in this dream.

What We Need
We’re raising $60,000 to help Slide City recover, rebuild, and come back stronger and safer — especially for our hometown of New York City.
We don’t need new slides.
We just need the right tools, crew, and resources to set them up safely and professionally — every single day.
